BABEL F.A.S.T. brings to Târgoviște a celebration of outdoor art and transforms the city into a lively, energetic stage. For a week, the streets and squares will vibrate with color, music, dance and theater, bringing together talented artists from all over the world. And everything is open to all who want to enjoy magical moments and experience the joy of creation together.
The festival kicks off with the BABEL Parade, a moment full of joy and color, which has already become a beautiful tradition. In this lively celebration, artists from the far corners of the world come together to celebrate diversity and friendship, bringing a warm and exciting atmosphere to the city.
A series of open-air performances will come to life in the city’s most beloved places – Mihai Viteazul Square, the House of the Syndicates and Chindia Park – transforming streets and squares into creative spaces.
Highlights include „Theater in a Box”, a delicate children’s story inspired by the Lambe-Lambe tradition, and „Gloria” from Ukraine, a non-verbal performance that brings to life rituals and legends from Ukrainian cultural heritage. For lovers of acrobatics and humor, the Italian show „Jump-In’ A-round” promises a burst of energy and good cheer, while Argentina’s „Slam Dunk” brings the joy of childhood play to the fore with a tasty mix of movement and comedy.
here are surprises in store too – the vertical dance of the Italians from Il Posto & Marco Castelli Small Ensemble will put on a unique show, animating the facades of buildings with graceful and powerful movements.
All these experiences are offered free of charge, to transform the city into a true cultural meeting place.
