On the streets of Paris

The show proposes as a thesis of theatricality the Living Statue between the tableau vivant and street animation. The action is set in 1643, when the painting „Four Faces at the Table” by the Le Nain Brothers was finished. The painting is located in the center of the play space and is surrounded by 8 living statues representing the street vendors of 17th-century Paris, Quasimodo and Antonio Le Nain, who is also the author of the entire story. The four characters of the painting will tell their story in turn, and the living statues and Quasimodo will interact with the audience, dance, sing and offer their merchandise for sale to everyone.

Currently, the Faculty of Arts of Ovidius University Constanța offers three undergraduate programs – Music, Theater and Fine Arts, Decorative Arts and Design. The common objective of these study programs is to provide specialized educational institutions or cultural institutions, the media, and all creative fields in which graduates of the Faculty of Arts can manifest themselves after completing their studies, with qualified personnel with superior training, corresponding to their requirements.

Spectacolul propune ca teză de teatralitate Statuia vivantă între tabloul vivant și animația stradală. Acțiunea este plasată în anul 1643, când a fost terminat tabloul „Patru chipuri la masă” de Frații Le Nain. Tabloul se află în centrul spațiului de joc și este înconjurat de 8 statui vivante reprezentând vânzătorii ambulanți ai Parisului Secolului al XVII-lea, Quasimodo și Antonio Le Nain, care este și autorul întregii povești. Cele patru personaje ale tabloului își vor spune pe rând povestea, iar statuile vivante și Quasimodo vor interacționa cu publicul, vor dansa, vor cânta și își vor propune tuturor marfa spre vânzare.

În prezent, în Facultatea de Arte a Universității Ovidius Constanța sunt trei domenii de licenţă – Muzică, Teatru şi Arte plastice, decorative şi design. Obiectivul comun al acestor programe de studiu este acela de a oferi instituţiilor de învăţământ de specialitate sau de cultură, mass-mediei, tuturor domeniilor creatoare în care absolvenţii Facultăţii de Arte se pot manifesta după terminarea studiilor, personal calificat cu pregătire superioară, corespunzătoare cerinţelor acestora.
